From 1986 to 1992 Bonnie worked as a support staff member at the School of Optometry. In 1992 Bonnie resigned her full-time position to resume her studies and in 1996 obtained her Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. In April 2000 Bonnie returned to Optometry and currently holds the position of Manager, Research Contracts & IP with the Centre for Contact Lens Research.

Diane worked as an optometric assistant in private practice for ten years. She was hired as a research assistant by the Centre for Contact Lens Research in 1989, and currently holds the position of Administrator.

Sruthi is a Research Assistant Professor at the School of Optometry, University of Waterloo, Canada. She is actively involved in various clinical trials conducted at the Centre for Contact Lens Research, University of Waterloo. Sruthi graduated from the Elite School of Optometry, India and obtained her PhD in Vision Science under the supervision of Dr Lyndon Jones from the University of Waterloo in 2008. After her PhD, Sruthi continued her research on dry eye as a post-doctoral fellow at the Ohio State University, College of Optometry. Sruthi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is a member of the Association for Research in Vision & Ophthalmology as well as the Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society. Her research interests include meibomian gland disease and dry eye. She was appointed Clinical Research Manager in 2013.

Lakshman is a Research Associate Professor, Senior Clinical Scientist and the Head of Biological Sciences at the Centre for Contact Lens Research, School of Optometry and Vision Science, University of Waterloo. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed and professional articles in the areas of contact lens discomfort, tear film biochemistry & ophthalmic biomaterials and has presented at numerous conferences in twelve different countries. He is a two-time recipient of the American Optometric Foundation’s prestigious William Ezell Fellowship. He serves as a member of the American Academy of Optometry’s Research Committee, is on the editorial board of British Contact Lens Association’s peer-reviewed journal, Contact Lens & Anterior Eye and is a topical editor for the journal Optometry & Vision Science. He also serves as a referee for several Ophthalmology & Optometry journals and international research granting agencies. Lakshman is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Member of the International Society for Contact Lens Research, Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society and the Association for Research in Vision & Ophthalmology.

Jill completed her degree in Optometry & Vision Science at The City University, London, UK in 1984. She owned her own private optometry practice in London, 1986 -1992. At this time she also worked in a low vision unit at a local hospital, provided clinical teaching at The City University and both practiced and taught at the London Refraction Hospital, now known as the Institute of Optometry, on a voluntary basis. In 1992 she moved to Manchester working in several general optometry practices and also taught contact lenses in the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences at UMIST. In 1999 she moved to Melbourne, Australia, becoming involved in clinical contact lens research as well as managing the general optometry practice. Jill joined the CCLR team as a Clinical Scientist in 2005 and was appointed Clinical Research Manager in 2013.
